Northwest in Bloom – a bloomin’ brilliant day at Dutch Farm

A bloomin’ brilliant day at Dutch Farm

If you’ve not been to Dutch Farm before – you’re missing out. Dutch Farm is our urban oasis in Garston, Liverpool. A green, serene place for people to get involved with gardening, beekeeping, yoga, meditation and spending time in nature. It’s also home to one of our Making Days centres and one of our Wellbeing Centres.

It really is a wonderful place, well-known for its calming and relaxing environment and stunning nature. We’re really proud of what we’ve created with the people we support. So much so that we entered Dutch Farm into the Northwest in Bloom competition. We’ve also entered the outdoor space in our HQ, Eleanor Rathbone House, but more about that soon.

What’s the Northwest in Bloom competition?

Northwest in Bloom is for people in the Northwest to apply to represent the Merseyside region in the Britain in Bloom competition hosted by the Royal Horticulture Society.

What happens now?

Well, Stephen – the Northwest in Bloom judge, visited Dutch Farm last week and was given the official tour by some of the people who use our Making Days service.

We’re keeping everything crossed that we get to the final, but either way, we’re super proud of everyone in Making Days and the Wellbeing Centres for helping make Dutch Farm so incredible.

Good luck, everyone!
