Liverpool mums – we need you!

We’re looking for 12 Liverpool mums to get involved in a free, five-week comedy course with PSS Parent-Baby Service and The Comedy Trust. We’re looking for people to share their experiences of motherhood (#NoFilter) using comedy.

The Comedy Trust

The Comedy Trust is on a mission to create happier, healthier people through the power of laughter and comedy. Since 2002, they’ve helped more than ten thousand people to improve their wellbeing and confidence.

What will we do?

Over the course of five weeks, we’ll work with you to create your own comedy routine. You’ll be in a safe and supportive space where you can talk about and share your experiences. We’ll look at how we can use comedy to talk about important issues that lots of parents and parents-to-be are facing when it comes to things like perinatal/postnatal depression, anxiety or low mood.

We’ll also support you to:

  • Feel more confident and able to support your mental wellbeing.
  • Recognise that you aren’t alone in what you’re going through or have gone through.
  • Feel empowered to speak more openly about some of the issues you have experienced.
  • Combat self-discrimination, discrimination, and stigma surrounding perinatal mental illness.

There’ll also be a comedy showcase at the end of the course, where we’ll see all your hard work come to life. But don’t worry, we’ll be there to cheer you on!
