Meet our coaches

Meet Carla

Hi, I’m Carla, I’ve worked with PSS for over 20 years in the finance team. My current role as financial planning and reporting accountant involves supporting operational managers in understanding financial reports and other financial information and assisting budget holders to help complete and understand budgets. I also supervise two members of staff and oversee the sales ledger.  Being a coach is completely different to my normal role and I love the challenge.

Meet Harriet

Hello, I’m Harriet and I’m the director of operations at PSS.  I’ve been managing people in one form or another for twenty something years and I’m passionate about working with people to help them meet their full potential.  For me, coaching is an amazing way for people to learn how to change the way they work and feel, using their own resources and ideas.

Meet Julie

Hi, I’m Julie and I’m the Making Days and Community Support manager for PSS. I’ve worked in day services for over thirty years and done many roles along the way. I joined day services in Wirral when I was 17 years old and never looked back. The people, the chance to make a real difference and a role in which I could learn from and work as part of a team were really important motivators for me. As a young person, I was really lucky to meet people along the way who encouraged me, supported me and helped me work out what I wanted to do in life. Having someone to ‘coach’ me made a real difference to how I saw myself and the decisions I made in my career.

As a coach for PSS, I always remember those important people who guided me, helped me ask the right questions, gently pushed me out of my comfort zone and celebrated the successes and become resilient when things didn’t quite turn out as planned.

Meet Michelle

I’m Michelle, I’ve been with PSS for over 30 years now, starting as a school leaver. I’ve had various roles here which has really kept me interested and challenged including front-of-house duties, payroll and admin; all leading to my current role as head of people and culture. My 20 years’ experience in management and HR and a wide experience in employment law and employee relations involves me giving advice, guidance and coaching to lots of different people across PSS in central and operational teams. I love being part of an organisation that makes a difference.

Meet Pamela

My name’s Pamela and I’m the head of services for Shared Lives England. I think I would consider myself a hard worker, I like planning and problem solving. I love it when people try their best and I love to see the potential in people and walk /run with them. I am more than happy to live vicariously through their successes! I like to have a bit of a laugh as well as making sure that we have mutual respect and trust each other and that we try to be kind to each other.

Meet Rita

Hello, I’m the head of service for our children and families services. I’m a qualified social worker and qualified in 2001. I started my career in PSS as a social work student and made my way through the ranks. A couple of years ago I was chosen to be mentored and this helped me see the difference between supervision and mentoring. I know that coaching isn’t the same as mentoring but it’s still one-to-one support that identifies goals and helps you see ways of how to get to them. I love being a coach.

Meet Sharon

Hi everyone, I’m Sharon. I’m the director of people and finance. I’m a born analyst whether that be people or numbers. I love to get to the truth or help people get to their truth by doing so we can maximise potential in the individual or the organisation’s balance sheet.

Meet Simone

I’m Simone. I feel really privileged to have the exciting role of head of quality which means I get to connect with staff, volunteers and people we support from across the whole of PSS on a day-to-day to basis. I also get to spend time with our senior management team and trustees helping to shape the development of PSS and making sure we have great policies and risk management in place.  Having worked in a variety of frontline roles including community support, teaching, mentoring and sports coaching, as well as strategic work in charity development, safeguarding and change management, the thing that definitely floats my boat is seeing people and services develop, achieve and make a difference whilst having a great time doing it.
