PSS in a nutshell:

At PSS, we’ve got an important job to do; and that’s to help people make the most of their lives, no matter what life throws at them. Whether you’re working directly with the people who use our services, or behind the scenes in one of our offices, every day you’ll be helping to make other people feel happier, healthier and more supported.

We’re a social enterprise or, as we like to call it – a ‘business with a heart’. This means that all the money we make goes back into finding new ways to help people. Our aim is simple; we want to help people change their lives for the better – no matter what life throws at them. We’ve got offices across Merseyside, North Wales, Lincolnshire, Manchester, Norfolk and Suffolk and the Midlands, where we’re making our stamp.  Our New leaf Women’s Turnaround service are based in various offices/outreach sites across Cheshire

What is New Leaf?

New Leaf is a Building Better Opportunities project funded by the by European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund. It is an innovative project, targeting individuals furthest away from the labour market in the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) area, to help them in their journey towards employment.

Led by Warrington-based Torus Foundation, working in partnership with other organisations across the area, New Leaf will support over 5,500 individuals, providing a tailored service, giving individual support and direction.

New Leaf Women’s Turnaround is a PSS service and is part of Cheshire and Warrington’s ‘New Leaf Partnership’ to support women experiencing multiple disadvantages across Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Warrington. It supports women to make positive changes by opening up opportunities for education, training and employment. As a project worker, you’ll engage with women, delivering one-to-one support and signposting them to different services that can support them to turn their lives around.  New leaf is an established programme of work that’s been very successful in helping people to get on to a new path – but we’re always looking for innovative new ideas from the team to develop our service.

This service is all about giving women another chance, helping them build their confidence and showing them they really can make something of themselves. This means you’ll need to truly live our PSS value of ‘open-minded’, believing in these women and their future possibilities. Talking of our values, they’re super important to us, so have a gander at them on our website to make sure you’re a true PSS person! We’re looking for dedicated women who are excited to be part of this service and motivated by making a difference to other women’s lives. Working alongside a whole host of local partners you’ll become part of a small but mighty team who work exceptionally hard to do this.

So if this job sounds like you and you’re looking for something a bit more ‘you’ then we’d love to hear from you.

You will also need a full, clean driver’s license.

This post is exempt under schedule 9 part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
