£6m funding for children with alcohol-dependent parents

Today the Government pledged that £6 million pounds of funding will be used to support families affected by alcohol misuse.

This is a big problem, with an estimated 200,000 children in England, living with an alcohol-dependent parent.

The plan will provide solutions for these children and their families – including fast access to mental health services and also recovery programmes for parents.

The PSS family impact team currently helps children in this situation, giving them support and guidance to make their lives better and their family stronger.
