Make someone’s day, every day

The job in a nutshell

Our aim is simple; we want to help people change their lives for the better, no matter what life throws at them.

Community Support is a service for adults with lots of different support needs. We support adults with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and sensory impairments to lead meaningful lives out in their local communities. Our support workers need to work with and not for the people they support, figuring out what makes them tick, the right level of support for them and what a great day looks like for them.

Based all across Merseyside, we help people get the most from their daily lives – however they choose to live them. Our amazing team supports the people who use our service to develop new skills or interests and get involved with loads of fun stuff – from sports to discos to shopping to paid employment. We help bring meaningful experiences into people’s lives – and we love putting a smile on people’s faces.

Who are we looking for?

The people we support drive what we do, meaning our support workers need to be built of the right stuff, be motivated by making a difference and be up for self-development too.

We’re looking for fun, friendly male support workers to come and join our fantastic Community Support bunch. You’ll be matched with different individuals and look after their individual support, supporting them to live life to the fullest. Community support becomes a big part of someone’s life, meaning you’ll work over seven days a week. The earliest shift starts at 8am and the latest finishes at midnight.

Not everyone can be great at supporting other people. What we’re really after is someone who:

  • puts the people who use our services first and is motivated by making a difference in other people’s lives;
  • believes in the importance of giving people a choice;
  • has super-duper communication skills; and
  • lives up to our values through and through. You’ll need to be professional, big-hearted, genuine, open-minded and determined.

Previous experience is not essential; you’ll receive access to our extensive training programme which will enable you to gain all the skills and knowledge you need to be excellent at your job. We’ll also make sure you get a comprehensive induction and our experienced staff team will support you in your journey with us.

We offer a range of benefits

  • Access to the Employee Assistance Programme
  • Medicash
  • Costco Wholesale membership
  • Company Pension Scheme
  • Corporate gym membership
  • Retail discounts
