When you’re experiencing mental health challenges (Wellbeing Centres)

Wellbeing Centres

We’re here to support you towards better mental health and wellbeing.

We’ve all got mental health, as well as physical health. Sometimes, just like when we get ill within our bodies, our mental health can suffer, too. We can feel anxious, depressed or distressed emotionally.

How can we help?

We can support you to improve your mental health and wellbeing.

You can come along to one of our courses to learn new techniques, strategies and skills to cope, and put a plan together for how we can move forward together.

 Wellbeing support groups

We have all kinds of courses designed to support you with your mental health.

Personal development courses: these are designed to enable you to recognise and develop your own personal resourcefulness, resilience and talents. We have a variety of courses depending on your needs, like anxiety management, coping with depression, mindfulness and assertiveness.

Arts and creative courses: we believe that everyone is creative and that creativity can play a powerful role in a person’s mental health recovery, so we offer lots of courses that will get your creative juices flowing.

Peer support groups: there’s nothing better than talking to someone who’s been there. Here at PSS, we benefit from two sorts of expertise: professional and personal. Our peer-led groups are ran by people who have been there. They give people with personal experience of mental distress the opportunity to offer and receive support from each other.

We know that recovering from a mental health challenge can take some time, so we will provide a safe, nurturing space for you to heal, understand, gain control and move forward with renewed meaning and purpose in life.

How does it work?

You’ll be invited to one of our four bases in Garston, Belle Vale, Childwall and the City Centre to come and talk to one of our lovely team. Once we know more about you, we’ll agree how we can support you and what the next steps will be.

How can I get support from the PSS Wellbeing Centres?

Gives us a call on 0151 708 0415 and we’ll talk you through the different options we might have for you.
