By using digital tools at home (Digital Health Service)
Digital Health Service
Our Digital Health Service can help you take care of your health at home, using simple digital tools.
What is our Digital Health Service?
Self-care means doing what you can to look after, improve and maintain your own health and wellbeing. Whether you’re already fit and well or whether you’re living with health problems, self-care is really important. Thanks to digital technology, it’s never been easier to take care of you.
Our Digital Health Service is here to show the people of Liverpool how really simple digital technology can help you look after your health: whether you want to learn how to monitor your blood pressure at home, stop smoking, get fitter or lose a few pounds.
We want to empower as many people as we can to feel ready, willing and able to take control of their own health and wellbeing.
To help spread the word, we recruit and train up Health Activators. They are volunteers across Liverpool who help their friends and family, workplaces and communities use digital technology to help look after themselves.
Our Health Activators do a great job of flying the flag for digital technology, and it’s part of their job to help give the people around them the skills they need to make the most of what’s available.
Who do we work with?
We work with:
- healthcare professionals including GPs, keeping them up-to-date on the latest digital tools their patients can use to monitor their health;
- employers all over Liverpool, showing them ways they can encourage their teams to take care of their own health; and
- we work with technology companies to trial some of the latest innovations in digital health.
