Women’s Turnaround New Leaf (Cheshire)
Our New Leaf Women’s Turnaround service runs in Cheshire and is part of the New Leaf Partnership, funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund. We support women across Warrington, Cheshire East and Cheshire West who have come into contact with the police through low level offences.
Working alongside Cheshire Police and a whole host of other local partners, we provide women with targeted and structured support to:
- give women opportunities to start on a new, more positive path; building their confidence and esteem and moving them into education, training and employment; and;
- reduce the number of women going on to reoffend.
When can someone be referred to New Leaf Women’s Turnaround?
Referrals to our service can be made only by Cheshire Police. To be referred, women must be:
- Aged 18+
- Living in Warrington, Cheshire East or Cheshire West with a right to work in the UK
- Economically inactive
About the New Leaf Programme
The New Leaf programme will be looking to support over 2,800 people from across Cheshire, enabling them to move closer to employment over three year until September 2019. The project has been allocated £10.6 million of funding through the Building Better Opportunities programme and is funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery, through the Big Lottery Fund, which provides investment in local projects that increase economic development by investing in projects which will support skills development, employment and job creation, social inclusion and local community regeneration.
